The Allied Health Nurse

Our Allied Health nurse performs General Practice Management Plans and Team Care Arrangements. These plans are to provide optimal patient care to government subsidised services for all patients with chronic conditions and complex care needs. Patients can access private dieticians, diabetes educators, excerise physiologists,osteopaths,podiatrists and psychologists through the program.

75 year old Health Checks

This is a voluntary health assessment to provide ongoing care with medicatioms, blood pressure , physical abilities etc for extra support and care for you. We also offer diabetic patients 6 monthly checks to ensure their complication screening and care needs are being met. These services are bulk billed.

Karen Cain

Karen joined the Bay Centre Medical team early 2019. She is an English trained nurse and midwife with a wealth of experience in community and practice nursing, midwifery and the specialised  area of IVF/ fertility nursing.

Karen has recently attained accreditation in immunisation, having studied with the Australian College of Nursing.

Abby Green

Born in South Korea and raised in Australia, Abby has explored the world and is happy to call Byron home. She draws influence from many different cultures and enjoys being in the ocean, traveling, camping, fishing and hiking. Since 2009, Abby has experience in Royal Darwin Hospital, Lismore Base Hospital and Taranaki District Hospital in NZ. She has enjoyed her background time in Emergency, Intensive Care, Neonates, Pediatrics and Medical/Surgical, before making the excellent transition to General Practice. Abby likes to provide a positive, friendly and holistic approach to drafting Chronic Disease Management plans with our team of friendly GPs.
